short skirt in figured fabric

A lush figured and coated ‘upholstery’ fabric with a python effect for an ample, softly-draped skirt with an inverted box-pleat front. The colours are warm hues of browns and greens that shimmer and shade the ones into the others. The waistband is elasticised for a perfect fit. The back closes with an exposed zipper, gold-finished to double as an unusual decorative element. The waistline is regular. At the bottom, precious lace in shades of dove grey and bronze converses with the python fabric across a ‘fence’ of passementerie elements. The skirt is lined.

Amusing and eccentric, to wear for a special occasion, day or night, with an old rose top.
